 Destroying Evil

Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.

That statement alone reflects the stat of our nation. These killings, assaults on police, senseless military style weapons still legal. Voting laws in Georgia being changed to make sure the disadvantaged have a harder time to vote. Jim Crow is strong in the south. The tornadoes in the south makes me think God is trying to tell them something. When are we going to allow people to be people. When does a difference really make a difference? People are desperate. They have been socially isolated for a year and now as they come out of isolation, they feel no one notices them. We hear they are loners, no friends, angry. This is going to continue. People are in need of help but won’t seek it. The ones who could give it to them deny them basic living rights. Social emotional feelings will push the economic needs of people. W

 L uke 8:11-15 New International Version 11  “This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.  12  Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.   13  Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.  14  The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.   15  But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.
